The Struggle

The Struggle
May 16, 2017 ahdora

My son dislikes plantain. He also dislikes Jollof Rice. How a Nigerian can dislike these two things, beats me. But, no matter how much I think he should love these things, it doesn’t change the fact that he won’t eat them. After my ranting, and raving about him not being Nigerian enough, he eats his potatoes in peace.

We don’t all like, or want the same things. We also don’t measure growth the same way. Many times, when people claim to be worried about what others think about them, I’ve found that the real worry is what they think about themselves.

These people who you’re worried will think you’re not making progress. Do they know what progress means to you ?

The real struggle is what you think about you. That’s where the true problem lies. Fix it.
